A Memorable Maternity Session in the Mountains

I recently had the pleasure of connecting with Gibi and planning her maternity session, and let me tell you, it was an adventure filled with warmth, beauty, and a touch of frosty magic. Initially, we had hoped for a cozy fall session, but as the season slipped by in a whirlwind of busyness, we realized that if we waited too long, the vibrant fall leaves would bid us farewell.

That's when the idea of a mountain session began to take shape. November in Kananaskis surprised us with its unseasonable warmth and lack of snow on the trees, but we weren't deterred. As we ventured deeper into the mountains, we stumbled upon a breathtaking sight: the north side of the mountain adorned with a delicate blanket of frosty snow, transforming the forest into a winter wonderland straight out of a fairy tale. It was simply magical.

Adding to the adventure was the presence of my own family, who joined me for the journey. While I focused on capturing Gibi's radiant glow amidst the snowy landscape, my family either waited patiently in the cozy confines of the car or embarked on their own little explorations, soaking in the beauty of nature.

The pictures from that day turned out to be nothing short of stunning. But beyond the picturesque scenery, what truly made the session special was the incredible energy and connection we shared.

As I look back on that unforgettable day, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to capture Gibi's journey into motherhood amidst the awe-inspiring beauty of winter.
