Maternity Session in Calgary & Okotoks

This session was absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful—it’s hard to put into words, but I’ll try my best!

I’ve known Camille for about 8-9 years, and she has always been such an inspiration to me. Her personality, strong moral values, love for antique treasures, motivation, and kindness make her truly one of a kind. When I found out she was pregnant, she surprised over 50 of us at work—and let me tell you, there were so many happy tears. Watching her grow this tiny human and embrace her femininity in such a beautiful way has been nothing short of magical.

So, when she asked me to photograph her maternity session, I was over the moon with excitement! It’s such a special feeling when a friend and colleague trusts you to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments. Camille sent me a few inspirational photos, and we started planning right away. We envisioned a cozy indoor session in their home, making the most of the natural light pouring into the living room, kitchen, and bedroom. And the day couldn’t have been more perfect—warm, sunny, and feeling like spring.

The 1.5-hour session flew by with a few outfit changes and pure magic in every shot. I left feeling like I was floating! I even told my kids that I wish I had done a session like this when I was pregnant with them. My oldest, in true creative fashion, immediately had a brilliant idea: "You can get pregnant again, and then we’ll do three sessions with different outfits so we can pretend it was different babies!" Oh, if only it were that easy! I just love kids and their limitless imaginations.
